RELIQ WORLD sends you walking around real places while looking at a screen. Your safety is your responsibility, and it comes before any treasure, time or prize.
Before you start
- Check the weather, terrain and daylight for the area.
- Carry enough battery, water and a charged phone.
- Tell someone where you are going if you are hunting alone.
While you play
- Never play while driving, cycling or operating any vehicle or machinery.
- Look up. Do not walk into traffic, water, cliffs, construction sites or other people.
- Stay on public paths and areas you are allowed to be in. Do not trespass on private property, restricted land, or anywhere access is prohibited.
- Do not climb, dig, damage or move anything to reach a treasure — no treasure ever requires it.
- Respect other people, residents, wildlife, memorials and places of worship.
- Keep the volume low or one ear free so you can hear your surroundings.
- Stop playing if you feel unwell, dizzy or unsafe, or if conditions change.
Augmented reality
AR objects are drawn over your camera view. They are not physically present and are not an accurate guide to the real world. GPS and compass readings can be wrong by many metres, especially between buildings or under tree cover. Trust your eyes, not the app.
AR and rapid motion can cause discomfort, eye strain or nausea for some people, and flashing visuals may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy. Take breaks. If you feel unwell, stop.
Children and supervision
Individual hunts may set a minimum age or require adult supervision, shown on the hunt before you start. Prize races have their own minimum age in the Official Race Rules. An adult should supervise younger players at all times.
Emergencies
In an emergency call the local emergency services (112 in Cyprus and across the EU). Do not wait for the app.
